Session Description:
Progression of chronic kidney disease is variable and influenced by many factors. This session will review recent findings related to accelerators and decelerators of CKD progression.
Learning Objectives:
Understand implications of identifying non-neoplastic lesions in nephrectomy samples. Learn about non-cardiovascular events as potential accelerators of CKD progression. Identify medical therapies that are proven to delay CKD progression. Understand the impact of obesity on CKD progression and how new medications for obesity can protect kidney health.
