CarolineStigant Canada

Dr. Stigant is a clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, Island Health site. She is a Mother, gardener, and educator with respect for our natural world. Dr. Stigant has held grants for incorporating Planetary Health principles into medical practice, is medical lead on the local Climate Change Steering Committee, and is proud to serve as chair of the Sustainable Nephrology Action Planning committee for the Canadian Society of Nephrology. She is a co-investigator with the Planetary Healthcare Lab at UBC in investigating the environmental effects of kidney replacement therapies. Dr. Stigant is a founding member of the evolving GREEN-K initiative.
